After a successful jump in the categories on Sunday, Meghna Gulzar’s war drama Sam Bahadur saw a third fall on Monday. The Vicky Kaushal-starrer earned Rs 1.65 cr on its 18th day of release, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The figures for the third Monday were not the lowest the film posted, as it earned the same amount on the 14th day of its release, which was last Thursday. The collection of the film is now at Rs 78.25 cr domestically, and over Rs 105 cr worldwide.

Sam Bahadur has been floating despite mixed reviews and stiff competition from Sandeep Reddy Vanga meat. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer turned out to be a huge success, earning over Rs 835 cr worldwide and over Rs 500 cr in India.

Sam Bahadur now has just two more days in which to expand his collection as Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki hits the screens on Thursday. After a day, Prabhas starrer Salaar will hit the theaters, which will cause Sam Bahadur’s film count to decrease.

Despite this, Sam Bahadur hopes to end his life next to Vicky Kaushal’s last band – Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The romantic drama was the surprise hit of the year as it grossed Rs 88 cr, a figure Sam Bahadur hopes to approach after his lifetime. The film is the second of the year for Vicky, who hopes to continue next year when she comes out with her romantic comedy, with the help of Karan Johar and Triptii Dimri.
